Dear IEEE Santa Clara Valley Section Officers & Members,

Greetings!

You are cordially invited to join our summer social event and awards ceremony.

SOCIAL EVENT: 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM.

AWARDS CEREMONY: 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM

GUESTS: You are welcome to bring guests (1 Adult and up to two kids).

LUNCH: Mexican food will be catered at our event.

ACTIVITIES: Planned activities include

Bubble Maker Volleyball

Frisbee <> Soccer ball

Please bring all games and toys that you feel might be appropriate for the park setting.

Swimming Pool Access:

For $4 per person, IEEE event attendees will be allowed to use the park's outdoor swimming pool.

The access fees will be paid to the park at the pool. IEEE will not collect pool fees

HOW THIS WORKS:

When you attend the event, make sure that you sign in.

Make sure that all of your guests also sign in.

All tickets "sold" which correspond to people who actually attend, will have the full price refunded.

WHY IS THIS BENG DONE ?

Our venue has a capacity upper limit. We have to limit total ticket sales and attendance to that capacity.

Last year a substantial number of people "purchased" free tickets, but did not actually attend. Those reservations could have gone to others.

This year's procedure discourages tickets being purchased, reserving a spot, but not having anyone show up!

It makes more tickets available to those who actually are able to attend.

Cancellations:

Tickets which are cancelled 24 hours before the start of the event will be fully refunded.

Cancellation deadline: 11:30 am August 3.
